Is social media camouflage for narcissists?  posted on October 29, 2009

General

I came upon this analysis on The Ad Contrarian.

Social media has created a perfectly balanced currency for narcissism. I'll friend you, you friend me. I'll pretend to be interested in your life. You pretend to be interested in mine.

For some people, friendship itself is nothing more than the charade Ad Contrarian describes. But does that mean it's equally empty for everyone?
